Korg began with an idea: use the latest technologies to create the finest electronic musical instruments, and allow musicians to sound their very best. Since 1963, that has remained our passion. Along the way, Korg has earned a reputation of technological leadership, ease-of-use, and stunning sound.  We’re Korg. We set out to create an organ and came up with Japan’s first synthesizer. Innovation is in our DNA. And yet we remain very human. We are a company of musicians and music enthusiasts that see ourselves as your musical partner. Our Story Begins…

It was the early 1960’s when a nightclub proprietor watched a popular musician on stage with his electronic sideman – basically a simple beat-box. After discussing the instrument’s limitations, the two were convinced they could do it better and set up shop. Within a few months, the team had created the first KORG product – the legendary Donca Matic. That nightclub proprietor was Tsutomo Katoh, and he remains the chairman and guiding force behind Korg. From those early beginnings, Korg has grown into a multi-national company with offices around the globe. Professionals, amateurs, hobbyists and music students have all made Korg their instrument of choice. As a company, Korg has a deep legacy of innovation – creating the first hand-held tuner, integrating a keyboard and vocoder in the VC-10, forging new families of instruments with Electribe and Kaoss, bending the boundaries with WaveDrum, and defining the music workstation category with the M1 – reportedly the best selling workstation/synthesizer ever created.  And that spirit continues today with monumental products from OASYS to KAOSSILLATOR and beyond.

ARD company is proud to be the first regional distributor of KORG’s product-range, given that KORG company is an acknowledged world-leader in musical instruments production. Since April the 1st 2009, our company has been providing KORG products to seven south-eastern European countries- Serbia, Slovenia, Croatia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia and Albania.

ARD’s top management is made of professional musicians, which enhances our capacity to understand our colleagues’ needs and current trends in the local music industry. As we celebrate many accomplishments of our fellow musicians, we look forward to providing them with support in their future achievements. Our mission is to become involved and make a difference in the music industry of our region. By centralizing distribution of pro-audio equipment on the market of south-east Europe, we hope to bring positive change to the local music industry. We are determined to put all our resources into reaching this goal.
